Lesson 3: Consonants with the base form 

 b This is the big letter ‘B’ in Persian. In the meantime, you don’t need to learn how to write it. We are just trying to pronounce it with the help of those three short vowels above.

b This is /bæ/ as in battery.

be This one is /be/ as in bed.

bo This one is /bo/ as in border.

Try to repeat it for a couple of times.

 

Small b This one is the small letter ‘b’ in Persian. Now try to pronounce this letter in the same way. Don’t forget to read from right to left. You will say. B letters

Big P This one is the big letter ‘P’ in Persian. Try to pronounce it with the short vowels.

Pa as /pæ/ in pad.

Pe as /pe/in pet.

Po as /po/in pork.

 

 Small P This one is the small letter ‘p’ in Persian. Try to pronounce it. Don’t forget to read from right to left. You will say:  p Letters

 T This one is big letter ‘T’ in Persian. Try to pronounce it with the short vowels.

Ta as /tæ/ in tab.

Te as /te/ in tennis.

To as /to/ in torn.

 

 small T This is the small letter ‘t’. Don’t forget to read from right to left. Try to pronounce it. T Letters

Now we try to pronounce them with the long vowels too.

1- long-ba this is pronounced as /ba:/ in barter. b_plus

2- long_bee this is pronounced as /bi:/ in beat. b_plus

3- long_bu this one is pronounced as /bu:/ in boot. b_plus_vav

Try to pronounce big_be with the help of these three long vowels. You will say: ba_be_bo
